What you can experience
This tour combines mountainbiking and trekking in the unique nature of Khao Yai National Park, which is part of the UNESCO world heritage and Thailand’s oldest national park. With its 2.550 km2 jungle and many different animals it is also the most beautiful one.
Day 1: Bangkok – Khao Yai
Departure on your own at 5.05 AM from New Road Guest House in Bangkok with taxi to Hua Lamphong train station in Bangkok. The train departs at 5.45 AM towards Pak Chon. Arrival in Pak Chon around 9.00 AM where a minibus takes you to Eco Valley Lodge to check in. Around 2.30 PM we will go to ”The Magic Cave” – a big grotto housing an old temple. Driving on to an elephant farm where you will ride them. Around dusk the local night market in Pak Chon City will begin. We will visit the cozy area with little street vendors who will sell you everything from food to ear rings and t-shirts.
Day 2: Trekking in Khao Yai
After breakfast we will drive towards the national park around 7 AM. The trek is a 3 hour walk through some of the lushes rainforest in Thailand. Later a car will take you to the stunning view point, which is located 1.188 meters above the surface of the sea which gives you a spectacular view over the national park. After this stop the car will take you to one of the parks biggest water falls; Haew Suwat, where you get the opportunity to swim in one of the many pools. Around 5.30 PM the last stop of the day will be made at a big bat cave, where a unique experience awaits you. When millions of bats fly out of the same grotto and create a long black line over the night sky.(L) |
